We are recruiting a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse for the Specialist Older Adults' Mental Health Service (SOAMHS) based at the Community Mental Health Centre, East Brighton Community Mental Health Centre, Brighton General Hospital. The Specialist Older Adults' Mental Health Service workswith older people with both functional and complex organic conditions who need secondary service support. Experience of working with this client group in a community setting is advantageous, but not essential as we would offer a robust induction and supervision package for the right candidate.
This post offers an incentive or relocation package up to the maximum of �4000 (pro rata applies and subject to terms and conditions).
Main duties of the job
We will be looking for someone with a passion for working with older people. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide specialist assessment, treatment and care to a caseload of people with a range of mental health needs. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and resourceful and be able to forge close links with clients and carers. We also work closely with partner healthcare organisations and the voluntary sector.
The Specialist Older Adults' Mental Health Service is integrated between health and social needed. There will be a requirement to complete social care assessments and mental capacity assessments as needed, and bespoke training will be offered for these aspects of the role.

The service operates Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm. Applicants need to be mobile, with the facility to move across Brighton & Hove as required.
