An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to work within a dynamic care team to provide comprehensive specialist individualised patient care for people living with neurological conditions.
The Neurology Specialist Practitioner post requires passion, vision, innovation and the ability to work across professional boundaries, underpinned by a real desire to provide the highest standards of patient care.
We are looking for an individual who can be creative in providing ongoing support to patients this will start after diagnosis, through to end of life. You will be expected to manage your own workload. Working closely alongside our Neurology specialist team.
As well as taking pride in caring for our patients, we also take care of our staff. You will be part of a compassionate and friendly team who understand the challenges that arise when caring for patients with long term health conditions.
We will offer comprehensive training and support to enable you to flourish within the role and promote personal development to support your career. We are happy to consider applications from individuals with relevant clinical experience at managing neurological conditions and we will support you through the non-medical prescribing course.
Main duties of the job
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist programmes of care and provide support to both patients and families
To support the existing neurology outpatient follow up service and provide flexibility in offering clinical care and proactive symptom management to patients in a clinic environment,.
To provide specialist neurological clinical leadership for the development of integrated rehabilitation pathways for neurological conditions, in line with recognised best practice and evidence-based practice. This will be in conjunction with the current Neurological consultants and the wider specialist team.
