We are recruiting for a Senior Resuscitation Practitioner who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The post holder will work as part of the team supporting the resuscitation improvement strategy for the Trust, helping ensure that the service is able to develop to fulfil the needs of East and North Herts NHS Trust staff and maintain a safe environment for patients.
The post holder will work across the Trust, ensuring effective and safe delivery of care for patients, particularly in partnerships with teams such as critical care outreach and sepsis team with a drive to prevent patient deterioration.
The post holder will act as a Senior Resuscitation Practitioner to The Trust and will work closely with the Non-Medical Education team and Medical Education team to deliver training to all clinical staff employed by the Trust and will support continued improvement in providing education across the Trust. A band 6 development post would be considered subject to meeting essential criteria.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with the other team members to ensure the standardisation and development of the service, ensuring that the service is able to grow to fulfil the needs of East and North Herts NHS Trust staff.
Manage day-to-day operation of the resuscitation service delivery with other members of the team.
Deputise for the Lead Resuscitation Practitioner in his/her absence.
Participate in the planning, delivery, organisation, and evaluation of training programmes delivered by the department.
Instruct/Direct national life support courses run by the Trust.
Conduct in situ simulation sessions and promote learning from outcomes.
Provide clinical and managerial leadership and support to all groups of staff on resuscitation matters.
Respond to 2222 calls for deteriorating patients and cardiac arrests.
Perform investigations into in-patient cardiac arrests.
Will require specialised knowledge and skills, in the resuscitation of paediatric and adult patients.

- Professional clinical qualification. RN, ODP or Paramedic (NMC or HCPC).
- Relevant post basic qualification e.g. EMB 100/199/124
- Recognised Teaching Qualification e.g ENB 998, C& G 7307 or Cert Ed.
- Generic Instructor Course Qualification (Resuscitation Council [UK])
- ALS Instructor/ Instructor candidate
- EPALS/APLS instructor/Instructor candidate.
