BCG/School Immunisation Nurse
Immunisations are an important part of the healthy child programme for school-age children. We are looking for enthusiastic registered nurses interested in joining our BCG/school Immunisation team working the Southeast London to deliver BCG/school vaccinations. Full training and support will be provided.

Main duties of the job
To participate in School Age/BCG immunisations programme, including administration of the inhaled influenza vaccination.
To assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of school, community and home immunisation services
To work in the office on the administration tasks associated with triaging, contacting school and recording data.
To encourage children, parents/carers to participate in the immunisation programmes in line with the Department of Health policy.
To ensure children and parents/carers have adequate evidence based information to allow them to make an informed choice regarding immunisations.
To participate in the school immunisation programme ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to enabling safe effective administration of immunisations in the school setting.
To prepare and assist with immunisation satellite clinics held within the Trust.
Flexible working is required.

The Clinical Services Directorates have a wide range of responsibilities to manage, including coordinating and delivering community primary care services on behalf of the Trust. The digitalisation of health services is underway with a requirement to become paper-light by 2023 through improving the use of digital tools and adopting mobile and agile working practices and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical delivery.
