An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and motivated individuals to join the management team for the South Yorkshire Regional Service Care Group as Operational Managers. The Care Group provides regional services across the Cardiothoracic, Renal and Vascular Directorates and has strong clinical and research collaborations with the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. The management team work collaboratively with clinical colleagues and other stakeholders to design and deliver effective pathways of care.

We are looking to recruit to 2 available posts and are seeking enthusiastic and experienced candidates who are looking for a new challenge to work within our multidisciplinary teams enabling and supporting the delivery of the very best in care across our services. Strong candidates will be strategic in their understanding of the importance of effective delivery of clinical operational services and will have the skills and ability to balance the demands of a very busy workload with enthusiasm and resilience.

One post will be Permanent in Vascular Services, the other post will be Permanent in Cardiothoracic Services.

The posts are key members of the Care Group Management Team, holding responsibility for the effective operational and performance management of each Directorate.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will have extensive clinical operational and staff management experience gained in a healthcare setting and will be required to facilitate delivery of key performance targets across a range of delivery indicators. The post holders will be expected to advise clinical leaders ensuring safe management of the clinical caseloads with patients at the heart of decision making.

Qualifications

Essential

• Maths and English GCSE at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualification).
• A degree in a subject relevant to health and / or social care settings, or demonstrable experience in relevant roles (management in a health care setting).
• A post-graduate qualification in management or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable commitment to continuing personal development.

Desirable

• A master's degree and / or other relevant management qualifications, or working towards.
• Formal project management qualification.
