Are you a student nurse in your final year and will be qualifying in 2024?

Would you like to have peace of mind that you've taken the first step towards securing your first band 5 nursing role?

Are you looking to work for an organisation that values everyone's contribution and works as one team to make a difference for our patients, each other, and our community?

If you're answering yes to the above, apply now to join our nursing teams at the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Foundation Trust (RUH).

We are inviting applications from nurses graduating from Adult Nursing and Children and Young People degree programmes. We have a range of band 5 Staff Nurse roles across our medicine and surgical wards and departments.

You will receive a warm welcome from all our colleagues and importantly, great support from our friendly, award-winning Preceptorship team.

Our aim is to help you develop your skills as a registered nurse and provide you with a real foundation for your future so you can progress to become a Sister/Charge Nurse, Specialist Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Lead Nurse and Chief Nurse. Come and join us, your journey starts here!

Within your application, please include in the supporting information section your preferred departments (up to three) and when you are expecting to qualify and this will be explored further at interview stage.

We offer full and part time hours and we will consider requests taking into account the needs of the services.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse you will be expected to care for patients with a variety of conditions, across the 24 hour period. Generally, you would be expected to lead in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care for patients whilst working alongside a Healthcare Assistant and with the support of the Senior Nurse.

We aspire for all of our nurses to display kindness, compassion, motivation and enthusiasm to be working on our wards. As 'fresh eyes' to the Trust, we always welcome challenges to existing practice with suggestions for innovative change.

It is crucial that successful candidates are able to work effectively within a team, demonstrating consistent professionalism and focusing on patient centred care at all times.

We will strive to make you feel empowered, listened to and valued, whilst helping you expand your clinical knowledge and skills.
