We have an exciting opportunity to join the Enhanced Support Team. We are a small multidisciplinary team who work closely together to provide enhanced support to some of our most vulnerable young people. We specialise in reducing and managing a young persons risk by building resilience in them and their families and supporting them to access services. We offer extended assessment and formulation to those young people where there are additional complexities and risks or experienced inpatient care.
As a team we work alongside clinicians from other areas of the CAMHS service, including the Therapies and Crisis Teams.
We are looking for NMC, HCPC or SWE registered clinicians with the right attitude, skills and experience in managing risk who have an enthusiasm for working with children and young people and share our passion to deliver the best quality care experience. Full and part time vacancies available.
Main duties of the job
You will work with children and young people and families who present with high risk or with complex needs. You will work directly and indirectly with C& YP using a therapeutic informed approach to provide enhanced support and you will liaise with other services to support the needs of the C& YP.
As a member of the team, you would hold an individual caseload, but would be supported by our Multi-Disciplinary Team that consists of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental Health Nurses, and Social Workers and admin.
You would participate in supportive twice weekly scheduled group supervision where we take a team approach to formulation and risk management to ensure we keep young people safe, promotes a recovery-based model.
In addition, you would support the wider CAMHS team by undertaking the duty role on a shared rota.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for their own caseload within their speciality area as an autonomous practitioner. In doing so, they will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient centred programmes of care to a specialist level ensuring that they practice within their sphere of competence and knowledge. The post holder will work to professional and regulatory body codes, standards and guidance at all times ensuring that their practice is grounded in evidence based theoretical and practical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical
1.1. Demonstrates a detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of common aetiologies, pathologies, conditions and presentations involving a critical understanding of theories and principles
1.2. Demonstrates innovative and specialist skills to select methods and tools to holistically assess, plan, implement and evaluate in a complex and specialised field of work.
1.3. Demonstrates highly developed physical skills where dexterity and accuracy are important e.g. syringe pumps and infusions, manual treatments
1.4. Makes consistent judgements requiring complex fact analysis, interpretation and comparison of options and ensures clinical reasoning is reflected accurately in case records
1.5. Engages and actively involves the individual and, if appropriate, their family/carer, in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of treatment and/or care by using person-centred techniques to promote a culture of involvement and empowerment
