Are you passionate about high quality postanaesthetic care? Are you looking for a new challenge, with the opportunity to build on existing leadership and clinical skills?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Clinical Lead in our Recovery Team. We are seeking someone who is passionate about delivering high quality care to patients and supporting the team to enable this.
As the successful candidate you will lead in the coordination of the 4 recovery areas and help with the daily management of the recovery service alongside the Senior Clinical Lead. You will be part of the leadership team to support the provision of high quality elective surgery and a 24 hour, 7 days a week Emergency (CEPOD) theatre service.
The post holder will have responsibility for leading and managing highly skilled registered and non-registered staff, alongside maintaining strong working relationships both inside and outside UHD. The successful candidate will have a passion for developing skills and knowledge of staff as well as being able to support them pastorally and using their recovery expertise working clinically to provide visual leadership in the immediate post anaesthetic areas.
This role requires: NMC registered Nurse/ HCPC Registered OperatingDepartment Practitioner and a teaching/assessing qualification

Main duties of the job
Extensive transformation work has taken place to develop a fully merged University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) Theatre service, providing high quality perioperative care for Poole and Bournemouth patients. We are looking for someone who can work together with the leadership team to ensure the continued development of the service and bring joint working practices across all post anaesthetic care units within UHD in line with national guidelines as well as clinical best practice. The successful candidate will need to be 100% flexible and be able to work weekend, bank holiday and on call shifts in order to support the 24 hour service as well as being able to work cross site if required.
