Recruitment/Retention payment of �3,000 for new starters who are external to the Trust. This is payable in 2 instalments over a 24 month period. Terms and conditions apply to the scheme, in relation to repayment should you leave within a 24 month period.

Main duties of the job

We have vacancies across our adolescent units
  • Snowsfields Adolescent Unit, Maudsley Hospital
  • Bethlem Adolescent Unit, Bethlem Royal Hospital
  • CAMHS PICU, Bethlem Royal Hospital

We are looking for highly skilled and enthusiastic Band 5 nurses to work within our multi professional team. This is an exciting role and one that gives you the opportunity to work children and young people to develop your therapeutic relationships with patients.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for ambitious staff with the desire for both personal and professional development. We offer regular clinical and managerial supervision as well as promoting continuous professional development to provide you with opportunities to progress and ensure that best practice is embedded in clinical provision. You must be a qualified RMN, Learning Disability Nurse or Acute Nurse in the final year of your RMN/LD/RGN course. Its important that you have an understanding of multidisciplinary services and the challenges that Children and young people face from their mental health problems.

Communication skills must be of the highest standard, you will be expected to engage with very vulnerable children and their families. You must show that you are caring and compassionate as well as a desire to uphold the dignity of the Patient you support.
