You should have the ability to engage and communicate with all levels of staff, have good presentation skills and the key ability to encourage change and promotion of 'best working practice'.Main duties of the job
To encourage, promote and facilitate the implementation of Patient blood Management initiatives across the Trust.
Develop and deliver training across multiple staff groups.
Investigate and report incidents with the aim to improve transfusion safety.
You will be joining a friendly, supportive and well-established Trust Transfusion Team to promote safe and effective use of blood throughout the Trust. As a Transfusion Practitioner, you would be required to be comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a team.
The post will be based at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, but the post holder will have a Trustwide focus and will be required to visit all sites within the Trust.About us
