We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual Specialist Practitioner to join our friendly and professional team within Main Theatres.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the daily management and delivery of safe patient care, within a professional multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be flexible, multi skilled and continue to gain further knowledge and skills in order to practice competently in Elective, Acute, Trauma and Obstetric Surgery. They will provide on-going education, appropriate training opportunities, mentorship duties and competency assessments within the Main Theatres Department.
The post holder will facilitate new developments and influence positive change in the clinical environment based on current evidence and research. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, who will be involved in staff recruitment, induction, performance reviews and absence management.
The post holder will support the Speciality Lead and Service Delivery Matron in achieving financial balance.
About us
The function of the department is to provide a high quality patient focused service for patient's under-going surgical procedures under regional blocks, general and local anaesthesia.
The post holder is expected to adhere to Trust policies and procedures and relevant legislation including the requirements of any professional bodies and to attend mandatory training as identified by the Trust.
