In line with New Ways of Working and the changing role of the Consultant, the post holder will provide a consultative, supervisory and supportive role to the multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will take an active part in the clinical work of the team the majority of clinical work is based on site, but service users may also be seen at home, as required. Clinical work also includes report writing and attendance at Mental Health Act review tribunals.

The consultant will have RC responsibility for patients under CTO. We have currently got 27 patients on CTO. The case load of current CTO is divided with the current recovery team consultant and the rest between a community and inpatient consultant who have RC responsibility for the CTO patients.
