We welcome applications from both experienced staff nurses and newly qualified nurses who are keen to start a career in Public Health Nurses. You will join the service at an exciting time as we progress our 0-19 pathways working more closely with Health Visiting services and our partners in education, social care and Early Help to take a family approach to promotion of health and wellbeing, prevention and early intervention.
Post holders will work within a team under the direction of a Specialist Practitioner School Nurse to deliver the Healthy Child Programme 5-19 in schools and other education settings. You will develop health promotion activities, work with partners in education, social care, Early Help and voluntary sector to deliver services to local communities. As a staff nurse you will hold a caseload of children requiring targeted and specialist HCP level support. You will carry out holistic health assessments and plan care for children and young people.
