We are seeking to employ Registered Nurses, to work within the Early Years Health Visiting teams in the Caerphilly Borough. This is a development post and the successful applicants will be expected to complete the Specialist Community Health Visiting Training (SCPHN) to become a Registered Health Visitor.
The post holders will be based and work within a team of Health Visitors and skill-mix staff.
The successful candidate will have the relevant qualifications, professionalism and clinical skills necessary to work on their own initiative as well as working effectively in partnership with parents/carers and other services such as Family First, Primary Care, Children Services and School Nursing.
We are committed to delivering the Healthy Child Wales Programme. We have an excellent training programme to support and develop our Registered Nurses, with access to safeguarding supervision and management support. We are committed to developing our Nurses as leaders within the Public Health Early Years agenda and ensure we deliver excellent quality of care to the preschool population and their families/carers within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The Health Visitor will also utilise the wider public health principles and a community development approach, in order to tackle health inequalities and strengthen communities and deliver on Welsh Government Public Health priorities and our exciting Clinical Futures agenda.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the delivery of the Healthy Child Wales Programme to families and children living in Caerphilly. Working with a team of health professionals providing health promotion and supportive interventions to meet individual client needs.
