The post holder will be responsible for promoting high standards of care through the demonstration of clinical expertise and creating a clinical environment that encourage learning and professional and practice development working within our services.
The post holder will also, as a part of a team, facilitate the induction, clinical mandatory updates and continuing professional development for nursing staff and AHP's working across Sutton Health and Care.
In addition the post holder will liaise with the relevant education providers to ensure that communication between education and practice is maintained.
The post holder must have access to transport to travel to multiple bases across Sutton and to visit people in their own homes
This is a clinical post and the post holder will be expected to perform clinical duties in the home environment

- Deliver designated clinical sessions for Mandatory Training / Induction programme for Nurses
- Contribute to the development programme for Nurses New to the Community
- Support the Clinical Skills and IV Therapy Competency programme
- Collaborate with lecturer practitioners and other clinical experts to deliver a Portfolio of education in practice through clinical skills workshops e.g. Holistic Assessment
- Participate in the review of the Induction and Mandatory Clinical Education Programme
- Be responsive to needs in clinical practice highlighted by complaints or incidents or National Guidance designing and delivering clinical learning programmes and /or create clinical learning opportunities as required for a safe effective patient responsive service.
- Provide excellence in the services that are provided, ensuring improved quality of life for the community nursing caseload and local population
- Provide support, supervision and mentorship to community nursing teams based within a specific area to meet the need of the community nursing caseload and local population
- Provide support to AHP Services working within Sutton Health & Care Community Services contract.
