An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Mammographer to join our busy Breast Care Centre.

We are a friendly multi-disciplinary team committed to providing a first class service to our patients at our base unit and mobile units. The successful candidate will provide an excellent patient experience and high-quality service to all, utilising best practice techniques and personalised empathetic care.

In addition to holding the Diploma of the College of Radiographers or relevant Radiography Degree, you must hold a UK recognised Post Graduate Award in Mammography or Certificate of Competence in Mammography from the College of Radiographers or willing to work towards which will take approx. 1 year to complete.

As part of this role, you will also be travelling around Somerset performing mammograms out on our mobile units, so you will need a valid UK driving licence with the ability and willingness to travel throughout the County.

Main duties of the job

As a competent and professional Mammographer in the Breast Care Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital, you will be working in the symptomatic breast service and the breast screening services.

A mammographer is expected to produce high quality images in a safe and caring manner. It necessitates working within a multidisciplinary team to provide the highest standards of patient care.

You must have HCPC registration as a Radiographer. A Postgraduate Award in Mammography is preferable, although training will be considered for the right candidate (Band 5 if training is required then Band 6 after qualification gained).

You will also be travelling around Somerset working on our mobile units performing mammograms as well.
