We are looking for compassionate and caring nurses to join a team on Ward 31, as we open to assist with the seasonal demands across the division of medicine.

We welcome applications from Nurses who are experienced, newly qualified or due to qualify.

Ward 31 is a 16-bed medical ward caring for adults specialising in general medicine, which is planned to open in November as a planned phased approached to our winter planning.

If you are a passionate, motivated, innovative, dynamic and driven nurse, who is committed to providing high-quality nursing care within a multidisciplinary team and wish to develop your skills and competence within medicine, we want you to join our team.

All successful candidates will be allocated to a suitable ward within the medicine division following the end winter period and closure of ward 31 when no longer required, to continue on with the nursing career at WUTH.

Main duties of the job

We provide 24 hour care and the successful candidate would be expected to work shifts on an internal rotation basis.

You will be required to deliver quality care in line with the Trust care values, commitment, dedication and enthusiasm for the role.

In return, we offer opportunities for our nurses to develop in all aspects of their practice through internal and external training, for care standards to be maintained and evidence based practices to be delivered.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

Essential

  • 1st Level NMC Registration
  • Evidence of Professional Development
  • Suitable for newly qualified or experienced staff nurse
  • Experience of maintaining accurate records
  • Relevant clinical knowledge and experience


Desirable

  • Willing to undertake NMC Assessor and mentorship
  • Relevant Degree or willing to register to work towards degree
  • Relevant or willingness to undertake relevant module/course
  • NHS Experience
  • Awareness of Health Policies and the changing NHS environment
