Sexual health service at Imperial College NHS Trust is based in Jefferiss at St Mary's hospital at central London Paddington. Jefferiss provides comprehensive sexual health services and HIV management care.

We provide specialist sexual health, contraception, HIV care and HTLV care. The Business support manager role is essential in running of this service.

The post holder will directly report to the Business Manager and will hold managerial responsibility for the operational performance of HIV, Sexual Health and HTLV. The successful post holder will be responsible for providing day to day leadership to support effective service, resource and performance management.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide operational leadership for the administration areas within GUM/HIV?HTLV/SF and will line manage the B5 Managers who oversee the front of house and back office function and will be expected to support and develop those team members as well as take the lead in managing and supporting the delivery of Key Performance Indicators.

The post holder will be expected to organise and prioritise own workload and to assist colleagues to ensure the continuity of service at all times. This is particularly focused project support for development and quality improvement projects for the department.

Further, the individual will support and deputise for the Business Manager and functions as part of the GUM, HIV and HTLV department management and administrative team.

  • Previous experience as a coordinator or manager of staff
  • Knowledge of the NHS
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Previous experience of working within NHS hospitals

  • Ability to problem solve and to develop solutions to issues.
