We support a diverse group of women , birthing people and families across a wide geographical area, with an award winning freestanding midwifery unit, and a well established home birth service. ABUHB maternity services also have a newly built inpatient services which includes a very successful Alongside Birthing Centre . Main duties of the job

You will be based in the community & have responsibility for a group of women within a geographical area. You will provide ante natal care and post natal care to women within your caseload. In ABUHB we have specialist midwives: Ante Natal Screening Midwife Perinatal Mental Health Midwife Public Health Midwife , Safeguarding Midwife, Lactation Consultant and soon a Lead Midwife in Diabetes who will provide advice and support to the community midwives for the women in their caseloads with complex pregnancy needs. The community midwives work cohesively with other services to provide ante natal education. We also provide hypno- birthing, yoga and aqua natal to women. The role also involves an on-call commitment to support those pregnant people who wish to birth at home.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
