We are currently seeking highly motivated, experienced Band 5 nurses who want to work at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, which is one of the largest acute Trusts in the country and in partnership with Imperial College is one of the UK's first academic health science centres (AHSCs) a major advance for patient care, clinical teaching and scientific innovation.

Due to the exciting and ongoing transformation of Pre-Operative Assessment and 3 West Elective Admissions and Discharge, we are now looking to recruit Band 5 nurses within the Elective Surgery Pre-Operative Assessment who would also be able to flex across both services providing clinical support when required. Across the two Departments, we see over a 2000 patients a month, and so are extremely busy departments, playing a key role in the Trust's vision and patient's surgical journey. You will work as part of the Multidisciplinary team ensuring our patients are prepared safely for theatre and receive high standards of care from the very start.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the pre-assessment team supporting anaesthetic and surgical teams, patients and relatives. The post holder will work with the senior sister, Senior Nurse and General Manager to provide optimal patient care. The post holder will assist in the training and the supervision of students. To provide the best care, the post holder will be supported to liaise with Inter -professional teams of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and other Trusts, Primary Care (including GP's), Admissions Office/ Waiting list office, Clinical site management team, Discharge team, Transport and the Operating department.
