We are looking for a Band 7 SLT with excellent dysphagia knowledge and management to join our team! You will asses and manage patients with complex dysphagia on the acute wards and in clinic (including regular Videofluoroscopy and FEES clinics for which training will be provided if needed). We have a strong supervision structure as well regular CPD opportunities within the immediate team and wider MFT SLT team.
Main duties of the job
To provide highly-specialised Speech and Language Therapy to adults on acute wards or in outpatient clinics with swallowing and/or communication problems. To be lead therapist in Videofluoroscopy clinics and to participate in FEES clinics.
To co-ordinate day-to-day provision of SLT to wards and monitor activity and performance.
To actively contribute to the supervision and teaching of others, as well as in research, audit and service development of the service.
