We are looking for an individual with experience and a keen interest in Stroke rehabilitation to join our well established ESD/Community Stroke Rehabilitation team, as part of the wider Integrated Neuro Therapy team in Croydon. The team consists of Occupational Therapy, Nurse, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Administrative and Rehab support worker staff.
A key element of this role is ensuring the smooth transition of patients from acute to community services. The post holder will liaise with the staff on the Acute Stroke Unit at Croydon University Hospital (CUH) and the local hyper acute stroke units to facilitate this.
You will be joining a highly experienced and skilled team, enabling patients to maximise their independence in the community. Supervision and support is provided by the Band 7 Occupational therapist and In service training is delivered with the Occupational therapists from across the whole neuro pathway and the wider MDT.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a member of the Integrated Neuro therapy team, providing OT to patients who have had a stroke, in the Community.
The post holder will provide a range of specialized rehabilitation OT input, to patients who have had a stroke, enabling them to achieve their full potential. The post holder is an autonomous practitioner but will work under the supervision of a Band 7 Occupational therapist

- Postgraduate training relevant to Stroke

- Knowledge of a range of OT models and demonstrate being up to date with trends and developments in OT stroke rehab
- Awareness of clinical guidelines and NSF's in Stroke rehabilitation
