Cardiac Physiology

We provide cardiac physiology services to 3 acute hospital sites: Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital (Boston) and Grantham District Hospital. All 3 sites have busy and comprehensive echocardiography services (including DSE/TOE/GUCH) and you will find all the typical cardiac investigations such as ETT, Tilt Table Testing, We provide pacemaker follow-up clinics on all 3 acute sites and complex device follow-up on 2 of our larger acute sites.

Main duties of the job

3 full time (37.5 hours) in Echocardiography

The base site will be either Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital (Boston) or Grantham and District Hospital and hours/days of work will be discussed at interview. We can offer the prospective candidate the chance to work across both community based echocardiography and high acuity based ward echocardiography including at our award winning PPCI centre at Lincoln County.

This post includes a commitment to work and support the development of our community echo service covering clinics in local community diagnostic centres.

We would be keen to support any special interests a candidate may have (including paediatrics) and this can either be discussed informally prior to application or at job interview. At this time we are only considering applicants who have FULL BSE accreditation for the band 7 role and applicants who are working towards FULL BSE accreditation for the 6 role.

Our band 7 staff are expected to work as independent clinicians and for the right candidates significant freedom to act and clinical autonomy will be granted.
