This is an exciting opportunity to join the Orthopaedic Therapy Team as a Band 6 Physiotherapist. The team provide specialist assessment and treatment to adults across two inpatient wards, Day Surgery Unit and covers both trauma and elective patients.
The team is dynamic and responsive to the demands of Orthopaedics including clinical care, service development, audit and research.
The post is part time, working across 7 days as part of a multi disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have recent experience at band 5 level or higher, with up to date clinical knowledge & skills in the assessment and management of patients following orthopaedic trauma, elective orthopaedic procedures.
The applicant would be expected to demonstrate good assessment skills & clinical reasoning approaches for treatment planning and rehabilitation. You must be confident in your knowledge & ability to provide a wide range of therapy treatment options including post operative advice and education, functional problem solving, exercise provision, discharge planning and equipment provision .
You will participate in departmental training and clinical development opportunities, whilst engaging in service development projects. There will be the opportunity to mentor and support students on clinical placements.
