To lead the technical/radiographer staff, and to further develop an efficient MRI service for BHRUT.

The post-holder will participate in the effective day to day running of the MRI service, standardising protocols, managing the patient bookings and waiting list and managing radiographers and radiology support worker throughout all areas.

Ensuring MRI service is maintained with training of staff to perform in accordance with Trusts policy including comprehensive competency assessments.

In conjunction with MRI Superintendent Radiographer, promote continuous improvements in service delivery and quality within all areas of the MRI service, using modern methods to improve productivity, leading in the delivery of service and workforce transformation, and re-design.

The postholder will manage the work of staff in the department and help develop culture in which members of staff are continuously improving the delivery of high-quality service. Ensuring the development and acceptance of challenging but realistic objectives for staff through leadership, motivation and systematic performance management achieved the required results.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a suitably qualified staff for MRI Specialist Radiographer post within BHRUT. The Post holder will be responsible for managing, upholding, and supporting MRI Lead Radiographer a safe and effective MRI imaging service providing support to the management team and working collabatratively with the MRI team of radiographers, Students, and support workers, in addition to the wider multi-disciplinary team. In return, you will be offered the opportunity to work in a modern new hospital within a very supportive directorate and have the opportunity to further develop your skills and practice.We are a very large Radiology Department having five CT scanners and large ultrasound department for general and gynae as well as a dedicated Interventional Theatre Suite. Person Specification

Education/Qualifications

Essential

  • oHold BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, CoR Diploma or equivalent.
  • oCurrent HCPC Registration
  • oSOR accredited cannulation.


Desirable

  • oPost grad in MRI or equivalent.
  • oEvidence of CPD.


Skills & Abilities

Essential

  • oIn-depth knowledge of MRI Physics.
  • oManagement/Leadership/Supervisory Skills
  • oCommunication and interpersonal skills.


Desirable

  • oPrevious experience of working at this level


Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • oExperience in setting up protocols.
  • oProven experience in MRI Research
  • o 5 years and above proven post qualification experience in MRI is essential.


Desirable

  • oExperience of working with people and different MRI platform.
