You will join a passionate and motivated Speech and Language Therapy team.

Qualifications and Professional Training
Essential
- SLT Degree or recognised equivalent
- Reg. member of RCSLT
- Reg. member of HPC
- Evidence of having completed some short courses including a basic dysphagia course
- Have undertaken an accredited dysphagia course
Desirable
- Membership of an appropriate SIG
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years in a post where 25% or more of working time was dedicated to patients with acquired problems
- Can manage own caseload of complex problems with minimal support
- Has experience of working with complex cases alongside or with supervision from a specialist therapist including those with dysphagia
- Knowledge of current trends in the management of communication disorders in adults
Desirable
- Awareness of Total Communication
- Experience of work in a variety of settings
- Evidence of postgraduate study
Skills and Attributes
Essential
- Can use a variety of assessment techniques, suitable for adults
- Can demonstrate an awareness of continuing professional development
- Demonstrates familiarity with record keeping standards

- Demonstrates good auditory discrimination and ability to transcribe speech phonetically
- Established knowledge of relevant national policies and procedures
