We have opportunities for Band 5 Registered Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners across Day Surgery Theatres with posts available in Anaesthetics/Recovery, Scrub, and the DSU Ward.
We offer Leadership training programmes working closely with our onsite educational team in the Academy, which provides many clinical courses to advance a variety of clinical skills from cannulation to ALS. We offer Anaesthetic courses for Nurses who want to broaden their skills within the perioperative environment.
UK NMC/HCPC registration required for this role. Any applications from overseas will be forwarded to our international recruitment team for consideration.
The post holder will be expected to work shifts between 07.00 and 20.00 hours Monday-Saturday.
Main duties of the job
As the Theatres Department depends strongly on teamwork, you will need to have good communication skills and work well with others in the anaesthetics, recovery or scrub and ward area. Competence with IT is an essential skill for this role.
You will be expected to deliver individualised, patient focused care reviewing and implementing care plans on the perioperative pathway to support best practice.
Are you a compassionate, self-motivated member of the team, who can use initiative to make decisions with organisational skills to enable you to manage your work plans and prioritise essential duties? If the answer is yes, then you are the right person to apply for this role.
