Based in the Guildford and Waverley area
If you are, we'd love to hear from you! We are looking for an experienced nurse with an interest and knowledge of continence promotion and assessment to join our team based at Milford Community Hospital. As a continence nurse you will be expected to manage your own caseload to provide the best possible outcomes for clients with bladder and bowel symptoms. You will work alongside our team of dedicated professionals including nurses, therapists, and administration teams.

To provide training on the assessment of continence and the provision of continence products to Guildford and Waverley community nursing services and residential care home staff, enabling them to assess and support their patient or clients needs.

- Current 1st level registration (Registered Nurse)
- 5 years nursing experience post registration which should relate to dealing with patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction
Desirable
- post graduate diploma qualification or equivalent level of experience
- Mentorship qualification
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Computer literate and able to use Word, Excel, Emis, emails etc
- Ability to Undertake full assessments of patients, including those with multiple pathology and complex health and social needs
- Knowledge of national directives that influence the delivery of continence care
- Evidence of professional development
- Demonstrate awareness of the needs of individuals from diverse social, ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- Gynaecology / Urology experience / Community Experience
- Good knowledge of health and safety / risk management
Desirable
- Experience of delivering formal training / education
