Following to new funding in Paediatric HDU and service redesign, we have the opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Dietitian to join our team within Staffordshire Children's Hospital at Royal Stoke. You will be responsible for the dietetic care on our Paediatric Intensive care unit, High dependency Unit and lead the delivery of dietetic care to our children's inpatient wards. You will work alongside a supportive MDT and within a team of 12 Paediatric dietitians delivering dietetic services within the specialties of Neonates, Cystic Fibrosis, Gastroenterology, GP clinics, Diabetes.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality dietetic care to babies and children who are admitted to Paediatric Intensive care, High Dependency Unit and inpatient wards, You case load will be varied and require advanced dietetic skills in enteral feeding, nutrition support and TPN.
You will support other dietitians, dietetic assistant and student dietitians in their clinical practice,.
You will be the lead dietitian for inpatients and support UHNM chief dietitian to provide and monitor safe nutritional and dietetic care within inpatient children's areas. You will have the opportunity to work with catering colleagues to develop and monitor catering provision to these areas.

Qualifications
Essential
- oRegistered dietitian (with relevant BSc, postgraduate diploma or masters)
- oEvidence of continued professional development.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- oDemonstrate relevant work experience in paediatric dietetics within the NHS.
- oExperience as a senior practitioner in specialist paediatric dietetics in an acute setting.
- Experience in supervision of staff developing in paediatric dietetics
Desirable
- oExperience of multi-disciplinary team working and care co-ordination

- oDemonstrate an ability to work within and contribute to a team including developing and maintaining effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders
- oWillingness to support pre-registration practice training for student dietitians
