An opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse position to work on ward 8 which specialises in Urological & Gynaecological Surgery.
We require well motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking nurses to assist the ward in leading the service forward. We are an innovative ward promoting the Enhanced Recovery and Time to Care initiatives.
We have developed and implemented new patient pathways, keeping the patient central to everything we do.
We work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialists to create an efficient multi-disciplinary approach for our patients' journey.
Specialist training courses are available in order to improve staff awareness and knowledge in the two specialist areas.
To aid your transition we have developed the role of the Nursing Associate a much valued member of the team, who works alongside the registered nurse providing a higher level of support, whilst also giving support to the Health Care Assistants.
Main duties of the job
Our patients are central to everything we do our nurses provide high standards of care with commitment, compassion and competence.
Our teams are innovative and forward thinking with an honest and transparent culture. The successful candidates will work within the multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality care.

Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
