The award-winning Refugee And Asylum Seekers Healthcare Education Service (REACHE) based at Salford Hospital, part of the NCA Foundation Trust We are looking for English and Clinical Tutors, to deliver our programme of English and Clinical Examination curriculum to Refugees and Asylum-Seeking Healthcare professionals in the UK. The service supports individuals from their education pathway, through to registration and employment roles within the NHS along the way supporting the Members' presenting pastoral needs as they progress to work within the NHS. The teaching curriculum includes specific medical English education and Clinical Examinations training, as well as working on being 'NHS Ready' which focuses on ethics and standards within the NHS and working as a safe and supportive clinician.

Main duties of the job

You will need excellent communication, coaching and negotiation skills, along with the ability to build relationships internally and externally with REACHE stakeholders to develop this programme.

Lead on the delivery of the OET (Occupational English Assessment) / English language preparation teaching through group work and individual support to our medical refugee and asylum seeker members with compassion, professionalism and respect. This will involve face to face teaching, remote teaching and 1:1 or small group language support. You will support the clinical tutors and team with input from your perspective and specialist area.

REACHE was established in 2003 and has a proven successful track record of in-house NHS support, education and training that facilitates Asylum Seeker and Refugees from Healthcare professionals to return to their profession within the NHS in the UK.
