An exciting and unique opportunity to lead and shape a new way of working in Anaesthesia at MFT.

The Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced and exceptional Anaesthesia Associate to help establish and lead the Anaesthetic Associate Program at MFT, as well as provide anaesthetic support and deliver patient care for elective and emergency patients as appropriate.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Lead AA is multifaceted, incorporating key functions such as leadership, policy and standards development, practice development, education, research, audit and professional development. The post holder will demonstrate ongoing commitment to the development of the AA role, and monitor the effectiveness of the role as a developing initiative

This role will be integral in shaping the future direction of Anaesthesia Associates at MFT. As well as a clinical workload, the successful candidate will be the direct line manager of qualified Anaesthesia Associates as well as provide guidance and mentorship to those in training.

Acting as a champion for the profession, you will need to build strong professional relationships with a range of stakeholders, including anaesthetic consultants and trainees, and surgical teams.
