We are looking to recruit a part time 34 hour Band 5 Registered Nurse for our busy and thriving Outpatients department at Kent and Canterbury and Estuary House and occasional cover at Estuary House, part of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. The post will involve working between both sites.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide effective patient care whilst working as a member of the outpatient nursing team across East Kent Hospitals University Foundation NHS Trust.
  • To support the whole team in the continued delivery of high standards of patient care in response to service needs.
  • To support the Charge Nurse in the day to day duties and all other teams within Outpatient services.

  • Recent wide range of clinical experience in a clinical setting.
  • Delivery of evidence based practice
  • Demonstrates patient focused approach


  • Previous experience at Band 5 within speciality
  • Evidence of facilitating learning practice
  • Evidence of on-going personal+ professional development



  • Ability to work flexible and collaboratively
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to develop good relationships with other members of the team
  • Able to motivate other staff when assessing for Care Certificate
  • Able to work to cover the needs of the service
  • Time management and personal organisational skills
  • Able to interpret written data
