We are looking for a dysphagia-trained SLT to join our large, friendly team at Wythenshawe Hospital. You will assess and treat inpatients with dysphagia and/or communication problems, but also provide an Outreach service to patients at home post discharge or to avoid admission.
You will be very well supported by your senior colleagues and peers. We have regular CPD time and inservice training and will provide training in LSVT and videofluoroscopy if needed.
Main duties of the job
To provide a clinical service to adult inpatients with acquired swallowing and/or communication problems.To provide an Outreach service to patients post admission and admission prevention in community.
To provide input to the teaching, research, audit and service development functions of the department.
To actively participate in CPD opportunities to maintain and expand clinical knowledge.
