An opportunity has arisen for a Occupational Therapist to join our well established and highly motivated Occupational Therapy team. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, compassionate and keenly motivated to join us. There is great team work within Guild Lodge and you will be working alongside staff and service users to promote the importance of occupation and meaningful activities as part of an individual's recovery journey.

Guild Lodge is a well-established secure unit, offering medium, low and step down facilities, on the outskirts of Preston. It is modern and purpose built unit, within pleasant surroundings and a staff group committed to effective multi-disciplinary collaboration and the delivery of high quality care to the service user group.
You will be involved in the maintenance and further development of the Occupational Therapy Service working alongside a wider occupational therapy department, which provides assessment and treatment for all the service lines within Guild Lodge (Womens, Men's & Acquired Brain Injury).
Main duties of the job
Your role will include the coordination, implementation of tailored specific treatment programmes for your own caseload. We offer excellent facilities - ranging from ward based involvement, to a custom built therapeutic resources centre (with a range of facilities including a sports hall and gym), a vocational rehabilitation facility a social centre, as well as accessing the LSCFTis a Community and Mental Health Trust whose services include mental health and substance misuse services to the residents of Lancashire and South Cumbria. The Trust also provides low and medium secure care and forensic services.

Secure Mental Health Care for Lancashire and South Cumbria is provided at Guild Lodge, Whittingham. The service has steadily expanded from it's inception in 1999 and currently has a range of inpatient and community services including 164 beds.
Guild Lodge consists of 3 main service lines (15 wards), which include:
o Men's service
o Women's service
o Acquired Brain Injury Service
Each of the services has their own model of care and provides bespoke training in addition to the comprehensive Trust and site Induction.
Guild Lodge hospital site is situated in beautiful rural area, yet close to motorway links from all directions of travel (improved greatly from March 2017 with a new bypass).
The hospital site offers:
o Free staff parking
o Onsite restaurant facilities
o Access to newly built housing area with local school
Our staff receive:
o Full induction and support for those new to the services
o Access to salary sacrifice schemes for cars, electronics etc.
