An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic midwife to join the Midwifery Education and Practice Development team for a secondment in the Saint Mary's Division as an Antenatal and Postnatal Education Midwife in the Maternity Inpatient areas at St Mary's Hospital , Wythenshawe site with occasional cross site working.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a driving passion and determination to support the midwifery team in line with the exciting national picture of care and compassion, as well as a local picture of quality improvement in the antenatal and postnatal ward setting. You will need to have good knowledge and skill base in midwifery clinical practice in antenatal and postnatal inpatient care.In this role you will support the Lead Midwife for Practice Development and Education in delivery and development of educational programmes in the inpatient areas.You will need to be self driven, clinically sound, approachable and well organised. In this key role you will work closely with the multi- disciplinary team.
