This is a Fixed Term/Secondment vacancy until 30/04/2024

An exciting secondment opportunity to join the acute liaison LD service a small team providing support to people with a learning disability when in hospital.
You will be responsible for ensuring that reasonable adjustments are made to ensure that health inequalities faced by people with a learning disability are minimised.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for ensuring people with learning disability receive an equitable healthcare experience
You will also be responsible for providing training on the needs of people with learning disability to our acute services staff.
You will be expected to provide direct support to individuals in hospital.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
