To carry out the assessment, data acquisition, data processing and data analysis of patients referred to the North West Movement Analysis Centre, with gait disorders due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, neuromuscular disorders and trauma.

To be directly involved in the clinical decision-making process as part of the multidisciplinary team consisting of consultant orthopaedic surgeons, gait lab director, gait lab manager, physiotherapists, clinical scientists and biomechanist.

The post holder will work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary NWMAC team in providing the day-to-day running of the gait analysis facility as well as the undertaking of service development and innovation activities. S/he will also assist in the maintenance of the Movement Analysis Centre equipment in addition to patient testing.

The post holder will be managerially accountable to the N.W.M.A.C. Manager.

We are looking to recruit a motivated and committed Administrator for our Gait Lab department for 18.5 hours a week.

Our Gait Lab is a world class facility while our Spinal/Orthopaedic department boasts one of the largest and prestige's orthopaedic departments in the country.

• To be an active member of the in-service training programme available via staff meetings, tutorials, training sessions, external courses and reflective practice by regular attendance and participation in the former including the delivery of presentations.

• To be aware of Health and Safety aspects of your work and implement any policies, which may be required to improve the safety of your work area, including your prompt recording and reporting of accidents and incidents (in line with policy), and ensuring that equipment use is safe.
• To maintain accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date documentation, in line with legal and departmental requirements, and communicate assessment and treatment results to the appropriate parents/carers, internal and external agencies in the form of reports and letters in accordance with Trust Data Protection Policy.

• Evidence of in depth knowledge of motion analysis, theoretical and practical
• Evidence of understanding of 3D motion analysis systems.
• Experience with 3D gait analysis and signal processing.
• Evidence of advanced knowledge in Excel, Matlab or equivalent programming languages (e.g., Python, etc.).
