An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Health Visitor to join the Flying Start Health Visiting Team in Cardigan, Ceredigion on a permanent basis.
Cardigan is nestled on the West Wales coastline and Ceredigion county has beautiful countryside and seaside towns.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for delivering the Flying Start enhanced health visiting programme for a defined caseload of children, families and communities whilst implementing public health initiatives. You will be expected to work in partnership with other professionals and agencies to address health needs - demonstrating excellent communication skills whilst working both autonomously and as part of a team. The post holder will be part of the multi-disciplinary Flying Start Team, Advisory Teacher, Childcare staff, Speech and Language Therapists and Family Support Workers. They will carry some responsibility for delegation and supervision of packages of care - covering parenting, health and early language for the Family Support Workers and will have a range of services that they can use to support families in their care - Parenting Courses, Baby Massage, Young Parents' Groups and much more.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
