North Locality MLCO has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our CommunityNeuro Rehabilitation Team.
The post involves carrying avaried caseload of patients with acquired swallowing and communication difficulties. Due the nature of the caseload. the successful candidate will have excellent opportunities to develop their clinical skills within a highly skilled, specialist Multi-disciplinary Team. This will involve working closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Specialist nurses and Neuro Psychologists.
The service is passionate about delivering high quality, patient centred care within the patient's own homes and wider community settings and as a result the successful candidate will be required to travel across the city of Manchester. A UK Driving license and access to a vehicle for work are essential for the post.Main duties of the job
To provide assessment and intervention for patients with acquired swallowing and/or communication problemson theCommunity Neuro Rehabilitation Team caseload.
To work as part of a Multi-disciplinary Team to deliver integrated care plans with patient needs and goals at the forefront of care.
To support and develop more junior registered and non-registered staff members in the service.
To be part of service development, with the opportunity to develop leadership skills.About us
