The Trust's finance division is looking for an Assistant Finance Director - Financial Management and seeks a motivated individual to develop their career in a Foundation Trust with a reputation for excellence, innovation and development. The Trust has a turnover of �750m and employs 10,000 staff. This is a chance for the successful individual to utilise personal and professional skills to their full extent in this challenging and fast moving environment.
The finance division holds the North West Finance Skills Development Towards Excellence accreditation at level 3, the highest attainable. The division also holds the FFF level 3 accreditation. We believe that these are endorsements of our continuous improvement policy to provide the Trust with the best possible service from the finance division.
The post holder will be CCAB or CIMA qualified. You will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in Financial Management. You will need to be a forward thinking proactive individual who will use excellent leadership skills to develop the Financial Management team and contribute to the Finance Division as a whole.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead on the provision of the financial management service to the Trust, Divisions and external bodies. The main objective of the role is to ensure that the Trust manages its income and expenditure within the approved budget improving financial performance whilst delivering a qualitative service to patients. Responsibilities include investigating & advising on complex business issues to improve financial awareness, performance, and to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, integrity and business focus of the Trust.The post holder will be responsible for the management and performance of the Financial Management team.
