We are delighted to be able to offer a new and exciting role, Digital Innovation Specialist to support NPC wide.

Northumbria Primary Care has 10 practices within the Group and employees may be required to work at other sites within our group.

Main duties of the job

Duties for this role include:
  • To Support the team in delivering high quality services to the clients of the service
  • Support and manage individual and team development to ensure that services remain current and up to date
  • Regular reporting on all targets
  • To Support the efficient administration of the clinical and business applications throughout the organisation.
  • Facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
  • To ensure the smooth running of all applications within the relevant business unit across the organisation by providing effective administration and change control.
  • To participate in the implementation of new applications as required.
  • To provide timely proactive and reactive support for all users of relevant applications and ensure that these users are able to use the software and hardware to its full effectiveness.
  • To promote and facilitate innovation and continuous improvement to deliver better services for service users and patients
  • To act as a key contact for internal or external audit

Job responsibilities

  • To ensure that the service level agreements are maintained with respect to supported applications
  • To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the service. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which - Engages, enables and empowers others - Uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and - Facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries
  • To help ensure high availability, security and usability of clinical applications.
  • To maximise availability of the applications by providing pro-active support and a rapid response when problems arise.
  • To maintain procedures and documentation of Applications under the control of the service.
  • To ensure the smooth running of all applications within the relevant business unit across the organisation by providing effective administration and change control.
  • Monitor Applications and implement fixes as required.
  • To participate in the implementation of new applications as required.
  • To plan teams workloads to meet agreed targets within the Service Level Agreement.
  • To demonstrate Trust core values and behaviours
  • To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Specialist knowledge across range of project management procedures and techniques underpinned by theory. Knowledge of specific areas, acquired through degree or equivalent experience or training
  • Significant experience in supporting critical clinical or business systems


Desirable

  • NVQ L5 in management
  • PRINCE 2 qualification
