Provide support and act as a deputy to the Clinical Procurement Specialist.
Liaison and interface between clinicians from a broad range of professional groups and procurement services, promoting the procurement of appropriate clinically acceptable products which represent best value for money and facilitate improved patient outcomes.
Clinical expertise and support required to standardise and rationalise the range of medical/ surgical products and equipment, currently used within the Trust. This involves reviewing the range of medical and surgical supplies and equipment upon which to base selection and then evaluating alternatives with the intention of introducing best practice and value for money, within procurement legislation and the Trusts' regulatory framework.
Produce reports for the guidance and information of others as required.
Main duties of the job

Plan and manage own diary.
To ensure that all assigned procurement projects meet agreed project timescales.
To attend Trust user group meetings as appropriate.
To support Clinical Procurement Specialist in multiple workstreams across a number of procurement projects simultaneously, including those that may impact on the opening dates of projects and the start dates of operational services.
Moving of clinical product samples to wards and departments for clinical trials.
Required to make frequent visits to Trust sites.
