The NCA are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity to join our senior leadership team in the role of Lead Midwife for Education.
The overarching aim of this exciting new post is to lead and manage the provision of robust education which meets, and is responsive to, national and local drivers.
The post holder will utilise their expert knowledge in midwifery practice to support and role model behaviours within our services and will drive the delivery of education which supports the provision of high quality care.
Main duties of the job
You will support the senior Leadership Team in delivering against national regional and local key objectives.
Your working week will be very varied. You will need to be naturally responsive to the changing demands on your priorities and workloads, and manage your own diary efficiently. The post holder will need to be confident enough to instigate and drive local change to meet the expectations and standards set by local and national guidelines and user feedback.
You will be responsible for managing the practice education team within the perinatal services. You will be a part of the escalation of operational issues on a day to day basis alongside the senior midwifery management team.
You will be involved in staff engagement and support in order to provide opportunities and feedback to our teams.
