Do you have a passion for using various communications channels to get your message across? Then we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a proactive internal communications officer to join our communications team to support the delivery of our internal communications channels.

Main duties of the job

You will have excellent written, organisational and analytical skills, and good attention to detail to help you co-ordinate the production of the monthly staff magazine.

You must also have digital media experience including the use of social media for internal and external purposes.

The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of work is essential.

    Person Specification

    Experience

    Essential

    • Experience in public relations or business administration
    • Media handling experience
    • Demonstrable project manager or coordinator experience
    • Journalistic/writing or publications experience (newsletters and magazines)
    • Experience organizing largescale events including generating sponsorship funds
    • Digital media experience including use of social media for internal / external purposes


    Desirable

    • Experience of working within the NHS
    • Digital media experience including use of social media for internal / external purposes
    • Public relations experience


    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Degree level qualification
    • Degree in relevant field or postgraduate qualification in related field


    Desirable

    • Professional qualification in media, public relations or marketing
    • Evidence of further professional development


    Personal Skills

    Essential

    • Excellent organisation skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of work
