Band 5 Staff Nurse - Elective Orthopaedics (Redlands Ward)
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our nursing team on Redlands Ward.
Redlands is a 30 bedded ward, which is part of a ring-fenced unit providing care for elective orthopaedic patients.
Main duties of the job
Practices in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council's Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses and midwives and Trust policies, protocols and guidelines.
Is accountable for own practice and for appropriate delegation of care he/she gives to colleagues, nursing support workers and students
Acts with integrity to uphold the reputation of the nursing profession and the Trust.
Deliver care with compassion, sensitivity and empathy.
Recognises deterioration in the physical or mental condition of the patient and takes timely action, appropriately referring to others or working with other agencies as required.
Takes responsibility for own continuing professional development and performance, maintaining own portfolio in accordance with re-registration requirements.
