Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join the dedicated Community Eating Disorder Service (CEDS) which includes psychiatry, nursing, dietetics, psychologists, and an assistant psychologist. The team is part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and the wider CYPS service within North Cumbria. We work closely with GP's, acute wards, in-pt services, other regional services, and providers. The Eating disorder team prides itself on delivering high-quality NICE-compliant therapeutic care to young people and families.

We work mainly in the community seeing children & young people and their families within clinic's across the North of the County.

Job responsibilities
The several pathways within the service offer intervention to children and young people aged 0-18., who are struggling with their mental health, learning disabilities, eating disorder's, ADHD. or in a mental health crisis.
The Eating Disorder Service work as part of a Multi disciplinary Team and provide:
Assessment.
Care co ordinate using CPA process.
Prescribe care for young people with complex eating disorders, following treatment pathways.
Deliver evidenced based Clinical and Psychologically based Interventions.
Provide specialist clinical advice to Service Users/Carers, staff, statutory agencies, 3rd sector partner agencies and the public.
Work with the family/carer to support young person.
The post holder will work as a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team.
Provide clinical supervision to staff as delegated by Clinical Lead and Team Manager.
To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
The team has a strong development culture and seeks learning and leadership opportunities for its team members at all levels, including actively encouraging the development and promotion of the service through various initiatives. We also have a robust supervision culture, and regularly seeks out creative projects and opportunities for co-production with the communities it serves.
Appropriate supervision will be provided by an appropriate clinical supervisor, as well as from the other practitioners, and systemic group supervision. Those from specialist AHP disciplines can also access additional professional supervision.
