They will need to be a practising clinician in the ND area of service delivery and will alsocarry a clinical caseload and contribute to the SPOA (single point of access) at referral, whilst having overall management responsibility for ND, working with the ND Lead Paediatrician.

Qualifications

Essential

• Allied Health Professional. Educated to Degree level or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience. Professional knowledge acquired through training and experience to Masters level equivalency. Up to-date knowledge of best employment practices/procedures acquired through short courses e.g. management of performance, attendance conduct. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current best practice for relevant Profession. In depth knowledge of national policies, codes and protocols. Evidence of CPD - portfolio of professional development activities which reflects experience gained in the speciality of neurodevelopmental clinical service delivery. Understanding of the Modernisation Agenda.

Desirable

• To have a knowledge, understanding and involvement with 1000 Lives Plus programmes.

Experience

Essential

• Significant experience of working with children with additional needs which must include ADHD/ASD. Previous experience at a senior level within nursing/allied professions, demonstrating clear vision and drive to continually improve the patient experience. Ability to influence at all levels. Highly developed problem solving skills. Ability to multi-task/prioritise and meet deadlines. Able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• A proven track record of effective leadership and management. Experience and the ability to manage budgets resourcefully. Proven experience of implementing change and engaging stakeholders.
