The Operational Lead with support the Lead Community Consultant Paediatrician on a day to day basis in the management delivery and development of effective, efficient and timely Neurodevelopmental services, based on local and national guidelines andrecommendations.
The post holder with lead and promote the development of robust clinical pathways across the service for assessment and evidence based interventions support the child population within CTMUHB health board.
They will need to be a practising clinician in the ND area of service delivery and will alsocarry a clinical caseload and contribute to the SPOA (single point of access) at referral, whilst having overall management responsibility for ND, working with the ND Lead Paediatrician.

Qualifications
Essential
- Allied Health Professional. Educated to Degree level or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience. Professional knowledge acquired through training and experience to Masters level equivalency. Up to-date knowledge of best employment practices/procedures acquired through short courses e.g. management of performance, attendance conduct. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current best practice for relevant Profession. In depth knowledge of national policies, codes and protocols. Evidence of CPD - portfolio of professional development activities which reflects experience gained in the speciality of neurodevelopmental clinical service delivery. Understanding of the Modernisation Agenda.
Desirable
- To have a knowledge, understanding and involvement with 1000 Lives Plus programmes.
Experience

- Significant experience of working with children with additional needs which must include ADHD/ASD. Previous experience at a senior level within nursing/allied professions, demonstrating clear vision and drive to continually improve the patient experience. Ability to influence at all levels. Highly developed problem solving skills. Ability to multi-task/prioritise and meet deadlines. Able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
