As a Registered Nurse you will work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team and within the multi-disciplinary framework. You will maintain a high standard of patient care under thedirection of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse, taking the lead in clinical areas when competent, in the absence of a senior member of staff.
Necton ward also runs an Acute Respiratory Unit (ARCU) so you will have the opportunity to work in this are and improve your skills managing acutely unwell respiratory patients.
At all times, you will work in accordance with the principles governed by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and Trust Policies.This role requires you to practice and adopt the National 6 C's which are Care, Compassion, Communication, Commitment, Competence and Courage. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King's Lynn is located near some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, along the north Norfolk coast, and not far from Sandringham House.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based healthcare services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire.

- Registered Nurse with the UK NMC
- Degree/Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
- Teaching and Assessing qualification
- Undertaken mentorship training
- Relevant experience in the past 12-18 months of looking after patients in a healthcare environment
Skills, Abilities and KnowledgeEssential
- Relevant Post-Registration clinical experience
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to use basic IT skills
- Accurate documentation with attention to detail
- Teaching, assessment and supervision of others
