We have an opportunity for a new graduate or a final year Podiatrystudent to join us as a band 5 Podiatrist ,22.5 hours perweek delivering services across the trust afrom Southend in theEast to Grays and Brentwood in the West.Your clinical work would be at a variety of clinics so a car driver/owner is essential to this role with flexibility a requirement to meetthe needs of the service.All staff and are supported with a Trust and a local inductionprogramme, regular supervision,preceptorship, appraisal and CPDwith all staff having a designated mentor, encouragingenhancement of clinical and professional skills as part of theirpersonal development plan.Our client base is primarily high-risk and you will be responsible fortreatment planning for foot complications associated with diabetic,rheumatoid and vascular / ischaemic long-term conditions.The post would provide opportunity to develop your clinical skills inroutine work and wound care and when ready on a rotational basisinto specialist areas such as Biomechanics and Nail SurgeryWe have close links with hospital MDT teams and we are part of theNational Diabetes Audit.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will undertake as part of the PodiatryteamAssess, diagnose, develop and implement individual treatmentplans for patients with a wide range of clinical needs and patientdischarge plans for patients with a wide range of clinical needs , work in multi chair clinicsPromote health education
Computer skills are necessary.
Car driver /owner is essential.
